Accessibility Statement

ENIGMEL builds programs for rooms where people move differently. We hold this website to the same standard.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1, at level AA. We treat that as ongoing work rather than a box to tick.

What we have done

  • Every color pairing on this site was checked for contrast against the WCAG standard before it was used, and pairings that failed were replaced.

  • Body text is at least 16 pixels, with generous line spacing.

  • The site can be navigated by keyboard alone, and the item in focus is always visibly outlined.

  • Headings follow a logical order, so screen readers can move through a page by structure.

  • Form fields have real labels rather than placeholder text that disappears when you type.

  • Images carry descriptive alternative text.

  • Animation is minimal, and it is switched off automatically for anyone whose device requests reduced motion.

  • No information is conveyed by color alone.

  • Tap targets are large enough to use comfortably on a phone.

Known limitations

Parts of the page that come from other companies, including anything embedded from Google or a video player, are governed by those providers and are not fully under our control.

Some components of the Squarespace platform itself are not fully accessible, and we work within what the platform allows.

Any PDF we publish is checked for reading order, but older documents may not meet the same standard.

If any part of this site is difficult to use, email melissa.romero@enigmel.com. Tell us the page and what happened. We respond within five business days, and we can provide the information in another format if that is easier.

Our programs

Our sessions are designed for mixed mobility, with seated, supported and standing versions of every movement. If someone in your community needs a specific accommodation, tell us before the session and we will plan for it.

Review

We review this statement annually and whenever the site changes substantially.
